Launch of Space Inhabited by Echoes

How strange to find
after years of love that
what remains between
us is only
space inhabited
by echoes
and the people we
once were.

To celebrate the publication of her first poetry collection Karen Jennings will be interviewed by Helen Moffett on Wednesday 6 June at The Book Lounge Cape Town’s leading independent bookshop. Drinks and canapés will be served.

Space Inhabited by Echoes
Space Inhabited by Echoes is a frank and poignant collection of autobiographical poems that transport the reader across two continents, and the vast internal shifts that accompany love, loss and translocation.
‘Her poems display a virtuosity and depth that many poets only reach later in their careers.’ – Kobus Moolman
‘This is a breath-taking debut.’ – Helen Moffett
‘ It offers its gifts – of transcendence, of solace, of delicate silences – without fanfare, but often with some metaphorical force.’ – Rustum Kozain
Karen Jennings
Karen Jennings is the author of Finding Soutbek which was shortlisted for the inaugural Etisalat Prize for Literature 2013, Travels with My Father, an autobiographical novel, and Away from the Dead, a short story collection.

The perfect project!

Are you looking to adopt a dog? Support a worthy cause? Looking for a book with beautiful portraits of rescue dogs? Well…..look no further!

MuttsAs animal lovers we at XNA are proud to support this amazing project.

Mutts the Book

Mutts is a coffee table book of beautiful rescue dog portraits and their inspirational stories which will be sold to raise funds for two doggy charities.

Quirky, loving, strong, spirited, loyal and special….mixed breed dogs boast all of these qualities and more.  Yet, they are sadly overlooked because too many people perceive them as ordinary and somehow inferior to pure breed dogs.

The truth is that animal shelters are bursting at the seams with these unique animals but they are often the last choice to be adopted because they don’t fall into a specific breed category.

‘Mutts’ will showcase the incredible variety and beauty of mixed breed dogs and offer readers a glimpse into their great personalities, loving natures and incredible stories of second chances.

No dog lover’s coffee table will be complete without it.

MuttsTo support this cause and ensure that ‘Mutts’ is available in bookstores, please see the link below.
