Crossing the Great Divide are the memoirs of a Jewish wife and mother who “comes out” of the closet even though she risks losing her family, friends and her job.
We share her journey as a young Jewish girl who shocked her mother with the news that she has not brought home a Jewish doctor but a nice Catholic boy.
Thirty years later, she comes home with the news that she is Gay!
This is a quirky, fun, poignant read of a woman and her relationships with people who have shaped her life, taught her how to dance with the mysterious, and take a leap of faith into the unknown territory of living a Gay life.
Fiona de Kock is a Gay Jewish mother of three adult children.
She has tasted a myriad of careers whoch she says has paid te bills, filled the fridge but nothing gives her more satidfaction than sitting at her favourite coffee shop writing, reading and people watching. This she says doesn’t pay the bills.
