Journey to Everywhere chronicles the adventures of a South African Writer, Indie-Film Maker, Cyberpunk and Psychonaut through a series of road trips and other escapades on his quest to find meaning in life and make a movie about consciousness.
Writer/Producer/Director. Cyberpunk. Transhumanist. Traveller. Responsible for creating the Cognition Factor (2009) and the Terence McKenna Omnibus (2012) series, Michael Kawitzsky is also credited with creating the memes ‘Cybershamism’ and ‘Webtrance’.
Escaping from his early carreer as a ‘suit’ in the apartheid-era rag trade he became a free-wheeling columnist, and indie-film maker with an alter-ego known as ‘Schwann’. Commenting on the evolution of net-consciousness via social networking from a uniquely South African perspective, Michael has represented South African counterculture internationally since the early 90’s.
“An entertaining, hilarious, beautifully written, tender memoir of Terence McKenna, cyber-gaming, acid trips, the 90’s and so much more. Highly recommended.” – Graham Hancock
“Schwann chronicles a rollicking ride through the waning last decade of the Twentieth Century and the hopeful but anxiety-fraught first decade of the dawning Millenium.” – Dennis McKenna
